{Yummy Donuts}

Finally bought myself a donut pan to bake delicious donuts. I quite like it! So today after work I made my first batch and they totally satisfied my craving for home baked donuts. Super easy and quick to make. Recipe from Sur La Table {love that store}, I added a little pumpkin spice and vanilla to mine. Yum!

The lovely eclectic home of prop stylist Emily Henson. She used to be a Display Coordinator at Anthro, naturally. I just love the kitchen and the mix of colors and patterns.

{DIY: Tin Can Vase}

This DIY project is simple, sweet, and great to do when you have a day off and want to take it easy. Fun to do with friends or kids. These vases would look great clustered together at a bridal or baby shower!

What you’ll need:
- Ruler
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Scrapbook Paper or gift wrap with interesting designs
- Decorative ribbon
- Spray Adhesive
- Containers to cover like an empty can, old unused vases and soda cans
- Floral foam
- Flowers

Instructions:
Step 1: Choose the container you would like to cover and measure a strip of the scrapbook paper to fit around the container.
Step 2: Cut the scrapbook paper into a strip that fits around the container.
Step 3: Spray a thin layer of the spray adhesive onto your scrapbook paper strip on the side you want adhered to your container.
Step 4: Wait one minute for the spray adhesive to get really sticky.
Step 5: Then, carefully adhere the scrapbook paper strip to the container.
Step 6: To add more interest to your covered container, spray measured pieces of ribbon with the spray adhesive and adhere to the container.
Step 7: Then, fill your container about halfway full with water. Cut flower stems at an angle to ensure they get the most water pumping through their stems. For a more hand-picked feel, simply cut the stems and place in the container. For more of a controlled, full look, you can use floral foam. Simply cut the floral foam into a piece that fits snuggly into your container and insert stems into foam.

{Romantic Malibu Wedding}

One of the most lush, romantic weddings I've seen in a while. Just breathtaking.

{DIY: Cake Stand}

Just had to post about this darling idea to repurpose vintage plates and glass candlestick holders by turning them into a cupcake stand or serving tray. I've been wanting an occasion to come up as an excuse to make something like this. I like that it's a cheap craft project, I can thrift for some floral plates and I have those exact candlestick holders left over from my wedding. Besides that I'm only missing some strong craft adhesive. This would also be a great jewelry catch-all!

{Recipe: Brazilian Limeade}

The Summer has been pretty intense here in Sacramento and we're trying to get used to it. One little drink came to our rescue, the Brazilian limeade! My husband and I first had this drink at a Brazilian restaurant and he just fell in love with it. So one day while sweating it out, he asked me to look up the recipe and see what gave this drink its special flavor.  I found a simple recipe for it and made it our own. We can't stop making it! It's perfect to keep in the fridge or make for BBQ's or picnics. Hope this drink helps you cool off and enjoy the Summer!

1. Fill your blender with 4-5 cups of cold water.
2. Add 2-3 Tbl of sweetened condensed milk and 1 cup sugar. Blend together for 1 minute.
3. Add 4 medium limes cut into 8ths (with smooth, thin skin) or 6-7 small key limes (these make it especially tart) cut into 4ths. Blend by pulsing 6-7 times, enough to turn it slightly green.
4. Strain the limes, use a spoon to press all of the juice out of the limes.
5. Pour into a pitcher. Add ice and serve.

{A very delicious birthday}

Yesterday was my 25th birthday. I woke me up to the smell of gardenias that my husband had scattered through out our room. And I got to spend the day doing some of my favorite things. I decided to try my hand at eclairs, something I haven't made before. And I have to say they turned out delicious! Homemade is always better than store bought. I found a pretty simple recipe and got to it, I was surprised by how easy they are to make. I'll definitely be making these again. While the husband made one of my favorite desserts as my birthday cake, pavlova. I just love being in the kitchen with family.
You can find the eclair recipe here and the pavlova recipe here.

{Oh, so Ladylike: Erin Fetherston Resort 2011 Collection}

{via: Style.com}

This resort collection is ladlylike perfection. I love the color palette and fabrics, not to mention those shoes {and skinny trousers, love}! The feminine silhouettes and details like the sweatheart necklines, belted waists, and pretty bows accent curves and elongate the figure. The kind of clothes that give you confidence and make you feel oh, so pretty.

*Today is my 25th birthday, btw.
