Color Palette: Anthro-inspired Grey, Coral & Mustard

How lovely is this ruffled/scalloped comforter? It also comes in a great marigold color. I'm loving mustard at the moment and pairing it with grey and coral makes it that much better. I'm seeking out my favorite color palette for when we finally move and I get to decorate a new place. This one I would say is in the top 5.

Looking for a neat weekend DIY project? You know, something easy because who wants to use power tools, right? Well here's one that is easy to do, only requires a few things and once it's done displays your lovely collection of necklaces! i just love new ways to dress up a dressing table or vanity area. At the moment I use plain push pins in a wall to hang my longer necklaces so I'm thinking this little project is a must this weekend. Instead of plain white rope use pretty ribbon, hemp rope or a piece of chain link. Please send me a picture if you decide to make this easy DIY jewelry branch, I'd love to see your finished product!

I'm really loving pleated paper pinwheels for special occasion decor. I've come across them in my bridal shower planning and I will definitely be incorporating them! Pinwheels can be made from fabris, scrapbooking paper, wrapping paper and paper doilies. There are plenty of creative ways to use them, they can be hung, used as a back drop for a dessert bar or glued onto skewers to be used as cake toppers or signage. How cute are the button and little monogram letter centers? I'm so excited to shop for all the crafting supplies and make some darling decor. Defining Decor: Bold Black & White Graphic

There's something so simply chic about black and white in interior design. It's accommodating to different styles and tastes and no one can debate that it doesn't look good. Black and white is my go-to combo for just about everything from my wardrobe to my home, I just absolutely love the contrast. It's go bold or go home when it comes to decorating with this color combination. A pop of a bright third color really adds to a space making it playful but still sophisticated. Here are examples of how bold black and white graphics can be used to define your style. {I don't have credits for the above images except the one that is noted, please comment with the credit if you happen to know it}

A graphic rug or cushion can be added to any space to give it a bold look and add dimension. Rug from here and cushion from here. I love the look of black piping or trimming on bedding and furniture too. My favorite design style for using bold black and white graphic decor and design is Hollywood Regency, there's nothing like it.

A mixture of patterns and textures make for a warm and inviting atmosphere that feels lived in yet unique with stylistic flourishes. Warm paint colors and lighting, displayed collections, rustic touches, mixed era furniture, contrasts in texture and design, along with a slew of patterned fabric and textiles make cozy eclectic a simple and sought after design style. Thought I'd break up the circus theme a bit with these interesting little baubles. Hanging glass bulbs with delicate feathers tucked inside, what a simple yet beautiful idea. I want a collection of them.

Anthropologie to launch Decorator Workshop

Thanks to Decor8 we've found out that Anthro will be launching a decorator concept on March 24th that will give customers expert advise when choosing products. It will include swatches, rugs, curtains, wallpaper samples and hardware. It's described as “delivering a unique experience that helps generate design ideas and support decision making." I think the most exciting part is that the shops will host workshops regularly with design experts. Whether you're a professional or not, this is such a great way to get inspired and spark creativity! Twelve stores will offer this in-store workshop-style concept, including Beverly Hills and Corte Madera, Ca locations. Their website will also include this new idea on March 17th, being called "For the Decorator" where you can requests upholstery samples and wallpaper swatches along with other tools and tips. I can already spend hours in the store, I can only imagine someone having to pry me out of there after this.What are your absolute favorite home products from Anthro? Defining Decor: Jessica Stam's NY Apt

I love the style of her apartment. Decor says it all. It's so refreshing, clean, and minimal in such a good way. It has a comfy feel {with that vintage couch}, with feminine touches {fresh flowers always pretty up a room}. And those Hollywood Regency lamps and side table are divine contrast against those Moroccan doors. That wall of mirrors and other reflective objects {like those great abstract vases in different sizes} really open up the narrow space, as does the glass coffee table.

For having quite the tacky reputation, we have to admit that there's just something about a room filled with colorful or even monochromatic balloons that brings out the smiley, giddy kid in all of us {i.e, see the fun post below}. Choosing to decorate with balloons can be a slippery slope, but if done right the outcome can be whimsical, creative, and fun. I love editorials with a bunch of balloons as props, both the Dior ad and  that specific editorial scene in Funny Face take place in Paris, maybe there's something to that too.
