Baby Girl: Harajuku Mini for Target

I can't tell you how darling I find Gwen Stefani's Harajuku Mini for Target collection! granted I love everything the woman touches. ♥ This collection is bananas and I dont even have a baby! The pink, the tulle, the polka dots and stripes, it's all adorable. Look at those leg warmers!

This collection also includes clothing for toddlers and tweens, including some outfits for boys as well. Along with these super kawaii pieces there are some accessories like handbags and backpacks with the Harajuku Lovers in mini form. The Harajuku Mini collection will be out on November 13th. Gwen will be on InStyle's November cover so make sure and pick that up too! Go here to see the rest of the collection.

Defining Decor: Erin Fetherston's NY Apartment

Via | Vogue
“I see it as a reflection of my creative universe, It’s romantic and chic, but clean and modern," says fashion designer Erin Fetherston about her Tribeca apartment that overlooks the Hudson River. It has an undeniable old-world charm with personal touches that add a whimsical eclectic feel to her spacious yet cozy home.
I love her home style, it's effortlessly  chic in a down-to-earth way. Understated elegance could describe it. After living in France for 5 years she was able to capture the European style she loved so much by shipping over her antique furniture once she moved to the States. The subtle blue color of the walls in her living area bring a welcoming and calming sense to the space don't you think? Those antique nesting tables are gorgeous! The clean simplicity of her bedroom and office space speak volumes for "less is more".

 Chinoiserie  touches like the lamps and silk screen in the bedroom add refined grace and sophistication in an otherwise plain room. Meanwhile, there's a structured kind of mess to her closet and dressing table. Venetian mirrors and fresh flowers on a vanity are a weakness for me.  I appreciate the mixture of textures and details within her home, the small details capture personality and add to the ambiance. Design Style: Old Hollywood Retro Glamour

{Images via: Swing Fashionista| Hooked on Houses| Mod Vintage Life| An Industrious Love}
The home of burlesque dancer Dita Von Teese, featured in Instyle's February 2011 issue, is "an homage to the Golden Age of Hollywood" in every possible way. I bought this issue  specifically for this lovely article. It oozes style just the way she does. Every room has a theme, from her Hollywood Regency boudoir, chinoserie shoe room {that's right a whole room just for shoes and another for her costumes and hats}, art deco library to the 1950's pastel pink kitchen. I could so live here! She moved into this Los Feliz home that was built in the 40's, appropriately, and added that special Dita touch to it with the help of designer Stacia Dunnam. How inspiring to live in a home surrounded with vintage glamour nostalgia. My two biggest style inspirations are Gwen Stefani & Dita Von Teese, just a little tid-bit about me.

I wanted to focus on the wallpaper through out the home; there are at least 5, if not more, different kinds. Wallpaper is making a comeback, specifically vintage wallpaper.  It's pretty for an entire room, one accent wall or to line drawers and cabinets with. In the bedroom there's a very feminine light grey paper with calligraphy flourishes, a vintage floral print in the dining room and red damask in the hat room. But the red animal silhouette paper in the kitchen is my favorite. Then there's the fantastic flocked velvet damask wallpaper in the living room, that oddly I think goes perfectly with her taxidermy collection. It may seem busy to some but I like the playful eclectic, almost kitschy style mix through out. It keeps things interesting and like Dita describes, "I feel like I'm in a dollhouse". What girl wouldn't love to play dress up for a living?
